The Best Of The Best For Pale Skin

I keep seeing people asking for the 'best concealers for pale skin' or 'best bronzers for pale skin' etc etc, so I thought I would summarise for each 'face make up' category, what my favourite products are for pale skinned beauties. I tried to keep it at 2 products for each category but there are too many amazing products to narrow them all down to 2! These include both high-end and more affordable options.

White Mixers:

Manic Panic Dreamtone Flawless Foundation - White - £9.99
This is a white foundation which doesn't take away any coverage of your foundation and also doesn't change the finish- it simply lightens the foundation. The bottle comes with a pump and 30ml of product. You can find this on eBay or Amazon and some gothic clothing stores.

NYX Professional Make Up Pro Foundation Mixers - White - £8.00
This mixer has a slightly thicker consistency than the Manic Panic Dreamtone, which means you don't have to use as much product. It comes in a squeeze tube with 30ml of product and again, doesn't change the coverage or finish of your foundation. You can find this product in larger Boots stores or online.

Foundations:

Kat Von D Lock It Foundation - L42 - £27.00
This is a well known foundation for pale skinned beauties as Kat Von D are fantastic in catering for us pale people. L42 is not the palest shade and it's a tad too pale for me, but it doesn't oxidise at all which is rare for me! It's a thick foundation which is very matte and full coverage. It lasts well on my oily / combination skin and doesn't settle into any fine lines. The bottle comes with a pump and 30ml of product.

Wet 'n' Wild Photo Focus Foundation - Porcelain - £5.75
This is a new foundation for me that I haven't mentioned before on my blog. This is a great high-medium coverage foundation that dries to a satin / matte finish. It is thin in consistency and you don't need to use a huge amount to cover your face. It comes in a glass bottle with a spatula applicator and the shade porcelain is a great shade for pale skin without having to mix it. This doesn't oxidise on my skin.

Make Up Forever Mat Velvet + Liquid Foundation  - 15 Alabaster - £30.00
This foundation isn't my favourite formula, but the shade is great for pale skin. It comes in a squeeze tube with 30ml of product and it is easy to squeeze a small amount out. This has high-medium coverage and is a relatively thick consistency. It dries down relatively matte (not quite as matte as Kat Von D Lock It) and it lasts well on my skin.

Concealer:

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - Extra Fair 0 - £4.19
I've been using and loving this concealer for years now and it was an okay shade, but could've done with being a bit paler. Collection recently released this new lightest shade, Extra Fair, which is perfect for my skin. This is a great full coverage, affordable concealer that lasts all day on my skin and doesn't crease.

Make Up Revolution Define & Conceal - C1 - £4.00
This concealer was super popular when it released recently, but people seem to love it or hate it. I am a lover of this - the shade is perfect for my skin, although they have just released a white shade and a shade lighter (C0.5). The shade C1 is beige toned and pale enough for me. This is a thick, heavy duty concealer which is very full coverage and lasts all day on my skin. The only down side to me with this concealer is that it only has 3.4ml of product so it runs out quickly.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer - Fair Neutral - £19.50
This concealer is well worth the money to me - it is a great shade for pale skin, is full coverage without being cakey and is super easy to apply and blend out. The applicator is a flat doe-foot applicator and you get 5ml of product in the tube.

Maybelline Fit Me - 05 Light - £5.99
I had heard a lot about this concealer in the past and I avoided purchasing it because the palest shade was far too dark for me. Lots of brands seem to be widening their shade ranges recently and Maybelline joined that trend. This is a good shade for me and I really like it as a concealer. It is a thinner consistency and gives slightly less coverage than the other concealers mentioned but it is still a great product.

Pressed Powder:

Laura Gellar Balance & Brighten Baked Powder - Porcelain - £21.00
I bought this powder foundation on recommendation from ThaTaylaa on YouTube (if you haven't already, check her videos out, she's amazing and super pale!) and I was not disappointed. I use it on top of foundation as a pressed powder, although technically it is a powder foundation - but I need the extra coverage! This powder can make most foundations look 20 times better, it adds coverage, sets my foundation and smooths out my skin. This is a fantastic product and I highly recommend it.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder - Translucent - £3.99
I'm a bit late to be jumping on this bandwagon, but I only tried this powder recently. It just never really jumped out at me, but having tried it now, I love it! I use the shade translucent, which is not quite translucent but pale enough for me. It keeps my make up in place all day (I have oily/ combination skin) and it doesn't take away any coverage from my foundation.

Blusher:

MUA Blusher - Cupcake - £1.00
I am one of those people that doesn't see the point in spending a fortune on blusher - because I'm so pale, I tend to use one tap of the brush in the product and then apply it lightly to my cheeks. This blusher is a great peach tone for pale skin and it works as well as more expensive blushers I've tried! You can't go wrong for a pound.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush - 10 Nude Mauve - £8.99
This was another recommendation from ThaTaylaa on Youtube and it is the most beautiful shade on pale skin. The formula is nice and isn't too pigmented, which is what you want in a blush when you have pale skin! It doesn't look too pink, orange or purple, it's a lovely neutral shade and it's my go to blush on a regular basis.

Bronzer / Contour:

NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette - £18.00
I put off buying this product for ages because I thought the shades were too dark and I 'didn't really need it'... I was wrong. I did need it. The highlight shade is beautiful on pale skin and the lighter contour shades work amazingly as a bronzer on me (I prefer a cool toned, matte bronzer) but if I want to add a bit more definition, I can use one of the darker shades to contour. These are all pigmented and blend out easily.

L'Oreal Back to Bronze Matte Bronzing Powder - £8.99
This is a new bronzer from L'Oreal which I have been reaching for a lot recently. It's a nice formula - not too dry or powdery, it's pigmented, blends easily and doesn't look orange on my skin like most bronzers do! The compact feels very sturdy and high quality too.

NYX Professional Make Up High Definition Blush - Taupe - £6.00
This is a must have for pale skinned beauties who want a natural looking contour - although it is a blush, this is a great cool toned, purpley / red contour shade on pale skin. I would recommend using a light hand as it is quite pigmented.

Highlighter:

Ofra Glazed Donut Highlighter - £25.00
This highlighter is a must have if you have pale skin and want a very intense sheen. You need the smallest amount to look like you could be seen from outer space. It is a silvery / white toned highlighter and isn't chunky or glittery looking. This is worth every penny to me but I would only use it on a night out or special event as it is so intense!

New Look Pink Pearls Glow Baked Highlighter - £7.99
This is a highlighter that I haven't heard many people talking about and I don't understand why. It is an amazing shade for pale skin, giving you that wet-look sheen. I am constantly reaching for this highlighter as it is so flattering on pale skin. It is a pale pinky / white shade and doesn't look chunky or glittery.

iHeart Make Up Goddess of Love - £4.99
This is another absolute favourite highlighter of mine - it is pigmented, gives a beautiful sheen and is a peachy coloured highlighter. The only downside of this highlighter to me is that it comes in chunky cardboard packaging which is not great for travelling.
