The Palest Foundations - Drugstore & High-End

Image
My first ever blog post was my Best & Worst Pale Skin Foundations for Oily / Combination Skin, however, since I wrote that blog post, I've tried quite a few new foundations that I have loved and have been pale enough for my skin, so I thought I would do an updated blog post, only including foundations that are the palest of the pale! I have very pale, acne prone, oily / combination skin which gets oily on my t-zone throughout the day, so I like full coverage foundations. I always set my foundation with a powder and I prefer matte foundations. These are in no particular order but they are all foundations that I would recommend for anyone with a similar skin type to me or who are looking for super pale foundations! I've included a mixture of drugstore and high end foundations. (Foundations are listed from left to right of the swatches) Kat Von D Lock It Liquid Foundation (Light Neutral 42) - £27.00 This is one of the palest foundations on the market just now...

The Best of W7 Cosmetics

Image
W7 is a super affordable brand, with most products available in B&M stores, The Range, eBay and Amazon. I’ve always steered relatively clear of W7, thinking you get what you pay for and a lot of the items are broken or have all been used as testers! However, I found an actual stand of W7 in The Range in Glasgow and bought a few products that were fab, so I bought a few more on eBay and I’ve been really impressed with them for the price! The prices fluctuate quite a lot dependent on where you are buying them from so I’ve just listed an average price for each item as they are listed for on eBay. Blazin’ Eyeshadow Palette - £5.99 I have swatched a few W7 eyeshadow palettes in B&M and I have to say, they are all terrible! However, I had heard good things about the Blazin’ Eyeshadow palette and the On The Rocks palette so I thought they were worth picking up. So the On The Rocks palette is a close shade match and supposed show for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture pale...

Make Up Obsession Custom Palette

Image
Having already made a custom palette with Make Up Geek shadows in a Z Palette, I’ve been putting off buying a Make Up Obsession palette for a while now, but I wish I had made one sooner! Make Up Obsession is a sister company to Make Up Revolution and Freedom Make Up as it is part of the Tam Beauty umbrella. The products are sold in larger Boots stores, online at Boots.com and on Tam Beauty’s website. Although the general idea is the same as Make Up Geek, however Make Up Obsession sell eyeshadows, eyebrow powder, lip gloss, highlighter, blushers and bronzers which are all the same size so can be used in the same palette. The palettes come in medium (6 pans) and large (12 pans). These palettes come in various colours and prices dependant on colour (e.g. the rose gold and gold versions are more expensive than black and white). The pans are all removable after they have been put in, you can just click them out and move them into another palette or rearrange the order. All of the pan...
